Boarding School: What We Offer
offers a Boarding School Program (grades7 to 12 and post graduate level) for international students searching for a high quality education in a residential setting in the US. US boarding
schools are inclusive academic and social communities where students are allowed to mature and become more responsible and independent young men and women. The main goal of JWB’s Boarding School Program is to allow our students to prepare to attend a college or university after graduation. Boarding schools are proven to help students achieve success at a higher rate than public school students.
JWB works with the boarding schools to ensure that our students are progressing in and out of the classroom. Exposure to a boarding school environment increases the likelihood of future successes. We understand that the residential life setting enhances student achievement, while preparing the student for the college environment and in turn their chosen career path.
Preparing Students
Boarding schools prepare their students for their futures by offering many unique and different options. These
opportunities include:
- more overall classes, honors level courses, and Advanced Placement courses taken for college credit.
- multiple levels of ESL offerings and standardized test taking instruction.
- structured time after the school day for studying, tutoring, writing labs, and research possibilities.
- multiple housing options, from small and large homes to small and large college style dormitories.
- living with dorm parents and residential life staff that work to keep students involved in activities, focused on academics, and safe on campus.
- increasing international and cultural awareness by living with students and faculty from around the US and the world (the majority of our schools have students and faculty from more than 10 different countries on their campuses).
- more athletic offerings and opportunities to represent your school in athletic events and grow through individual and team sports.
- large number of school sponsored activities, groups, clubs, and organizations to join (i.e. Equestrian Club, volunteering, Outing Clubs, Drama Club, Orchestra, Jazz Band, etc.)
- school sponsored field trips, class trips, and vacation travel throughout the US and international destinations.
